Position Full-Time Violations Clerk

The Randolph Township Municipal Court has an immediate opening for a full-time violations clerk. Experience preferred but willing to train. Individual is expected to be responsible, well organized and energetic. Customer service experience and phone skills a plus. Under the supervision of the municipal court administrator, individual will be expected to perform clerical and bookkeeping duties in the processing of summonses and payments. Bilingual skills a plus.

Starting Salary Salary commensurate with experience.

Position Part-Time School Crossing Guard
The Randolph Township Police Department is accepting applications for the position of part-time school crossing guard. If you are not already certified in New Jersey, you will be required to attend a class in order to be certified. You must be a citizen and resident of this state, be sound in body and in good health, be of good moral character and not have been convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude.

Position Park Maintenance Worker II

Responsibilities: Responsible for the general care, supervision and upkeep of all municipal facilities and parks. Tasks associated with this goal include supervision of full- and part-time staff. Knowledge and semi-skilled work of various trades such as plumbing, electricity, auto mechanics, carpentry, snow plowing and other related duties.

Examples of Work: Performs all maintenance, construction and repairs for park and trail facilities. Landscaping work as needed.

Snow removal and ice control as required by parks department. In the event of a major storm event, park maintenance workers may be assigned to public works by order of the township manager.

Completion of assigned park maintenance responsibilities. Proactive approach to directing Parks Maintenance Worker I staff and seasonal staff in order to complete tasks in an efficient manner.

Report any issues with facility or staff to parks maintenance foreman and/or parks maintenance supervisor.

Qualifications: Valid NJ driver’s license with ability to drive various trucks, landscaping equipment and construction vehicles.

  • Ability to demonstrate and to operate safely and efficiently the various types of mowers, trucks and landscaping equipment.
  • Ability to understand, remember and follow all unwritten instructions. Physical health and strength required to perform various heavy tasks.
  • Ability to assist and prepare athletic fields. Knowledge of field sizes, layouts and preparation methods, including setting up goals, backstops and general lining.
  • Ability to lift physically heavy objects and to work continuously under varying weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of Randolph parks and trails systems and all aspects of maintaining same.

Position DPW Truck Driver/Laborer Positions
The Township of Randolph is seeking to hire two full-time individuals in the public works department. A NJ Class A and/or B CDL license with air brake endorsement required. Applicants will be required to perform manual labor along with leaf and branch collection. Knowledge and experience in general construction, masonry and paving desired. Snow plowing/salting experience desired.
