An ordinance amending ordinance No. 16-09, “An ordinance to provide and determine the range of compensation for specified officers and employees in the Township of Randolph”


WHEREAS, the Township Council adopted Ordinance 16-09 on June 4, 2009; and

WHEREAS, several adjustments are required to reflect changes in employee responsibilities and titles.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, that following amendments shall be incorporated into Range of Compensation Plan.

Section 1. The following deletions, additions, and/or modifications shall be approved:

A. The Engineering Administrator title under Supervisory Employees RTMSEA shall be re-titled Engineering Administrator/Licensed Waste Water Operator with a maximum salary of $85,000.

B. The Community Services Coordinator title shall be deleted from the Municipal Employees RTEA and added to Supervisory Employees RTMSEA with a maximum salary of $63,000.

C. The Purchasing Coordinator title under Municipal Employees RTEA shall be re-titled Registered Public Purchasing Official/Qualified Purchasing Agent with a maximum annual salary of $63,000.

D. The new title of Health Assistant/Registrar and Recycling Coordinator shall be added to the Municipal Employees RTEA with a maximum salary of $60,000.

E. The new title of Technical Assistant shall be added to the Clerical Employees - RTMCA with a maximum salary of $50,000.

Section 2. All ordinances of the Township of Randolph which are inconsistent with the provisions of the Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of each inconsistency.

Section 3. If any chapter, article, division, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or provision of the Ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect all remaining portions of this Ordinance.

Section 4. The Ordinance shall take effect twenty (20) days after final passage, approval, and publication after adoption by the Township Council and shall be retroactive to January 1, 2009.

ORDINANCE NO. 27-09

Notice is hereby given that an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 16-09 ‘AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE AND DETERMINE THE RANGE OF COMPENSATION FOR SPECIFIED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE TOWNSHIP OF RANDOLPH’” was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on October 6, 2009 and was introduced, ready by title, and passed on first reading. The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the Ordinance for second reading and final passage, thereof at the regular meeting to be held on November 5, 2009, at 8:00 PM prevailing time at the Municipal Building in said Township located at 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey at which time and place a public hearing thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.

Statement of Purpose of Ordinance

The purpose of the said Ordinance is to establish and set forth the salaries and titles for the Township employees listed herein, that will be in effect 20 days after approval of said ordinance.

A copy of the full Ordinance is available to any member of the general public, at no cost, at the Randolph Township Municipal Building, Office of the Clerk, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
