Daily Record Available Online
The Randolph Library is pleased to announce the immediate availability of a new subscription to digital newspapers. This service is free to Randolph Library patrons and is updated daily. Daily Record and America’s Obituaries & Death Notices provide web-based access to current and archived issues of full-text newspapers.
These two databases enable library patrons to search and browse current and archived news articles, editorials, reviews, birth and marriage announcements, obituaries, death notices and a variety of special sections. Patrons can use these resources for general reference or to research local and regional issues, events, people, government, education, arts, business, sports, real estate and much more. In addition to using workstations at the library, Randolph patrons can access the newspapers from home by logging in with a Randolph Library card barcode number on the “Reference Databases” web page.
These resources are provided by NewsBank, the world’s premier provider of newspapers and other news sources online. Serving public libraries for more than 35 years, NewsBank offers web-based access to more than 2,000 titles from the U.S. and other countries around the globe.
