Downloadable audiobooks are digital versions of audiobooks that are available through the Internet. The Randolph Library offers two free downloadable audiobook services. With a Randolph Library card, you can sign up for one or both services and download titles to a computer that runs Windows 98 SE, 2000, ME, XP, or Vista and supports Windows Media Player version 9.0 and above.

You can also transfer your favorite titles to a wide range of portable devices such as music players, media centers, Pocket PCs and smartphones. Unfortunately, the iPod and Mac do not currently support copyright-protected Microsoft Windows Media Audio (WMA) files. However, some ListenNJnw titles may be burned to CD if the publisher permits. These may then be transferred to an iPod using iTunes software.
