Resources to read and learn many languages can be found on the Internet and in local libraries.
Reading
- Read Spanish-language articles on business, health, culture, and news from a collection of Hispanic magazines in the Informe database.
- Read the Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos en Linea, a Spanish-language children’s encyclopedia with more than 2,200 articles, 250 maps, and 1,500 illustrations.
- Read a newspaper in English or other languages. Find online newspapers from many countries around the world by searching the NewsLink web guide.
- Find out which M.A.I.N. member library has the largest collection of books and magazines in each foreign language .
Movies
- Watch foreign language movies you can borrow from the large collection of foreign DVDs at the Randolph Library.
Learning
- Find a class at local community education programs where you can learn English or other languages.
- Find opportunities to learn English as a second language in Morris County.
- Contact Literacy Volunteers of Morris County to arrange individual tutoring sessions to learn English at the Randolph Library or another public location. Use their list of favorite web sites for learning and teaching English.
- Learn English and other languages with books, CDs, and cassettes you can borrow from the Randolph Library.
