E-Mails for Book Lovers

You may now sign up for free e-mail newsletters to keep up with new books in your areas of interest. Newsletters may be e-mailed directly to you or may be viewed from the Randolph Public Library web site. In a matter of minutes, you can sign up for BookLetters, the online version of the popular BookPage monthly book review magazine.

To see the full list of newsletters and to subscribe, click on the BookLetters link. Select the newsletters that match your interests, enter your e-mail address at the bottom of the page, and click “Subscribe” to start receiving newsletters right away.

Newsletter topics range from New York Times bestseller lists to business, science and nature, romance, science fiction, fantasy, and more. Newsletters devoted to children’s chapter books, picture books, and teen titles are also available. If you are too busy to sit down with a book, you might want to subscribe to “Chapter A Day” and receive at no charge a link to an audio recording of a book chapter every day in your e-mail.

Sign up for as many newsletters as you would like. Each BookLetters newsletter presents from four to six titles with a brief description of each. Most newsletters are sent monthly. Each is e-mailed on a different day, so your mailbox won’t be swamped if you sign up for several different ones.

You can easily learn about a book you’d like to read and then place a hold on the title to have the library notify you when it’s available. Link directly from the description of the book to the library’s catalog by clicking “Check Our Catalog” under each title. Place a hold by entering your library card number, PIN, and choice of pickup location. If we don’t own a title, you may call us with your Randolph library card number to request it.

The BookLetters newsletters are available on the library’s web site for viewing at any time. Also on the BookLetters site are author profiles and photos, bestseller & award lists, and the current month’s reviews and articles from BookPage.

E-mail messages with news about books in your areas of interest are a free and easy way to meets the needs of your busy schedule. We encourage you to sign up for BookLetters today. Just click the BookLetters link to get started.
