Big Kids at the Playhouse
Posted: December 15, 2016
Big Kids is a new developmental musical play written by Drew University seniors Shafer Ward and Philipe Abiyouness.
The play centers around the Randall family comprised of Stan, a local comedian and stay-at-home dad, Melanie, a project manager at Gate Farm Insurance, and Morgan and Jake, who are elementary schools students. The family dynamic is disturbed when each of the parents find themselves less and less able to be at home. As the parents begin to skirt their responsibilities and act like children, we see the children assume more responsibility over themselves and take on the role of adults. In our fun and playful world of the play, kids play adults and adults play kids as we flip the tables on presenting the family in this fun little musical dramedy.
Performances will be at the playhouse on January 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. and January 22 and 29 at 2:00 p.m.
All tickets are $10.00 and can now be purchased online through Randolph’s Community Pass system.
