2012 Bow Hunting Season
Posted: September 4, 2012
The 2012 bow season for the harvest of white-tailed deer begins Saturday, September 8, 2012 and will extend until February 16, 2013.
Bow hunting is being permitted on most all municipally-owned, open space properties as well as lands adjacent to municipal parks. The one exception is Brundage Park lands which will open for hunting in early October.
Bow hunting will also take place at Hedden County Park, James Andrews Memorial County Park, the Morris County MUA lands off of Park Avenue and the Clyde Potts Watershed lands bordering Mendham.
Randolph’s trail system will remain open throughout the hunting season. The trails through the Clyde Potts Watershed lands will be closed on those dates when shotgun hunting is permitted in December, January and February. Trail gates to the watershed lands will be posted in advance of the closings.
Hunters on all municipal and county lands have been provided access permits by the township for hunting on municipal lands and the Morris County Park Commission for hunting on county properties. All hunters must be issued licenses by the NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife following the completion of training for safety and compliance with hunting regulations.
