Branch Collection Continues

January 3, 2012 Update:
Please see the branch collection update »
Randolph crews will begin operations in District 1 on Tuesday, December 13. District 2 is scheduled for collection to begin on or about Saturday, December 24.
Please recognize that the snow season is upon us and that a storm with accumulation requires public works crews to rig equipment for plowing and sanding operations which will create an unavoidable delay in branch removal. Should that occur, a collection update will be posted.
- District 3
Completed - District 4
Completed - District 1
South of Pleasant Hill Rd., Calais Rd. & Sussex Tpke., Calais Rd. to Morris Twp. border
When: Begins Tuesday, December 13 - District 2
North of Route 10
When: Begins Saturday, December 24
The township has assigned its entire road crew to the operation. Work days are extended to dark and Saturday operations will continue until such time that cleanup is completed. The township is leasing equipment and private operators to assist in the removal effort.
We need help from Randolph citizens and greatly appreciate those residents who are bringing branches and leaves to the recycling center (open 7 days each week). The curbside leaf collection program has been suspended but leaf bag collection is being accomplished by recycling truck crews on Mondays.
When all is said and done, Randolph expects to collect in excess of 70,000 cubic yards of branches or more than ten times the amount of branches typically collected during the annual spring cleanup.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We apologize for any inconvenience and again wish to thank citizens who are helping in the street cleaning effort.
