E-Waste Recycling Now Available
Posted: February 22, 2011
The Randolph Township Health Department is pleased to announce an electronic waste (e-waste for short) drop off site is now available at the township recycling center.
As of the first of the year, it became illegal to place discarded home electronics curbside for regular trash pickup. In response, Randolph has secured a contract with an outside company which will collect and recycle covered e-waste at no cost to the town. Depending upon market prices, Randolph may even receive some revenue from the arrangement.
Covered electronics include TVs, computers, monitors, laptops and computer peripherals such as keyboards and mice. Other electronics such as fax machines, VCRs and radios will also be accepted.
Only covered electronics from residential sources can be accepted. If you have any questions, please contact 973.989.7050.
