The First Tee Raritan Valley is operated by the New Jersey Youth Golf Foundation, an official 501c(3) not-for-profit. Beginning this fall, The First Tee Raritan Valley will offer golf instruction at the Mt. Freedom Golf Center, located at 1275 Sussex Turnpike in Randolph. Classes will be held over six consecutive weeks in September and October 2010 on weeknights and Saturdays for students ages 6 to 19.
Going forward, this program will be offered annually in the spring, early summer and fall with summer golf camps also offered in 2011. The goal is to provide instruction to school-aged participants throughout the area and teach how the positive values inherent in the game can be used at home, in school and in other areas of everyday life. Golf clubs, golf bags, equipment, and life skills materials will be provided to all students.
