Randolph’s Community Services Committee offers a program to help residents in need with household chores and projects they are unable to do on their own.
Scheduled for May 13, 2006, this one day event takes place on the Saturday preceding the township’s annual spring large item clean up week, which will run from May 15th to May 19th.
On “Helping Neighbors” day, volunteers from participating service groups will be available to help with recycling, turning mattresses, carrying boxes, doing light yard work, changing batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, bringing trash to the curb, etc.
Randolph residents are invited to participate in this program if they are…
- a senior citizen
- a single parent
- a person with special needs
To receive assistance, residents must sign up in advance by filling out a short application available from the Community Services Department, located at the Senior Community Center on Calais Road. A $5.00 donation to help defray administrative costs is requested from each particpating household (fee can be waived).
The application deadline is May 5, 2006.
Have questions? Don’t need any help but interested in helping a neighbor on May 13th?
