The Hysterical and Theatrical Booth Family

The Hysterical and Theatrical Booth Family will be the topic for a program presented on Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Randolph Senior Community Center. Dr. Peter Lubrecht, historian, college professor and former director of the Brundage Park Playhouse, will be the guest speaker.

The discussion will feature the assassination of President Lincoln and how it changed a country’s view of its president. Dr. Lubrecht will discuss the Booth family background and the climate of the theatrical presentations of the time.

The program, which will begin at 7:30 at the Randolph Senior Community Center (next to the township library on Calais Road), is open to the public. A $2.00 admission fee ($1.00 for members of the Historical Society of Old Randolph) will be charged. Free light refreshments will be served.
