Posted: July 13, 2005
On August 2nd, the Randolph Township Police Department will be joining more than two dozen police departments, civic groups and other agencies from throughout Morris County and beyond at the third Annual National Night Out. Hosted by the Morris County Park Police and the Morris County Park Commission, the event will take place at the Mennen Arena on Hanover Avenue in Morris Township from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
In addition to the traditional police-related events and demonstrations, the night will include entertainment provided by a disc jockey from WKTU, ice skating, food, giveaways, free child ID photos, a visit from the Park Police Equestrian Unit and a live concert by the band Backstreets.
National Night Out takes place in more than 10,000 communities on the first Tuesday of each August. It is an evening where local police departments and law enforcement agencies throughout the nation team up with the communities they serve to pledge their commitment to each other in making their neighborhoods safe.
