Township Debuts New Website!
Posted: July 13, 2005
The Township of Randolph has unveiled a newly designed web site in an effort to improve upon the way residents access information about the township and the services it provides. The new site also marks the beginning of Randolph’s use of a new, easier to remember domain name—www.randolphnj.org. Visitors who continue to access the old site through a bookmark or search engine result should automatically be redirected to this new site (but if you’ve bookmarked the previous site, now’s the time to change it).
Site visitors will find expanded information on everything from the departments and divisions at town hall, to online meeting agendas, a complete phone/e-mail directory, an interactive map of our highly-regarded trail system, a municipal meetings calendar, a postcard gallery of the old Mt. Freedom hotels, and information about how to obtain various forms, permits, documents and licenses. Both the library and the police department have their own special sections—or what we like to call sites within a site—complete with their own, self-contained navigation, content and search engines.
If you are reading this, then you have already discovered one of the most beneficial features of our new web site—the “Latest News & Announcements” section on the home page. This will allow the township to disseminate news when it happens and creates another avenue for residents to keep current on township happenings. This is supplemented by our “News Archive” which will become the final resting spot for news and announcements, keeping them readily accessible as they become less current.
“It was time to change Randolph’s presence on the Internet,” said Township Manager John Lovell. “The site was rebuilt from the ground up, with an eye towards making the web site serve as an extension of town hall, enabling residents to get information quicker and more easily.”
The new web site was developed by Pavia Kriegman of paviaweb.com, a web site development company based in Morristown, New Jersey.
