Randolph Delivers the Goods
Posted: December 2, 2010
The United Way and the Morris County Chamber of Commerce once again helped sponsor Operation Appreciation to provide holiday care packages to military troops serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Randolph’s Brighton Cromwell, located at 111 Canfield Avenue, coordinated the area effort and reached out to the Randolph municipal organization for assistance in collecting goods and donations.
Families and friends of Randolph collected about $2,500 in goods plus another $4,500 in monetary donations. The Randolph Employee Association and Randolph Supervisory Association gifted $1,000 to this year’s cause. The Randolph Republican Club and Rotary Club also made significant contributions along with area citizens and businesses.
Many thanks to council members Gary Algeier and Al Napoliello who helped chair Randolph’s collection and to all who participated in helping to bring some holiday cheer to the men and women of our Armed Forces serving overseas.
