Parks & Recreation Department to Hold Public Master Plan Workshop
Posted: March 4, 2015
The Randolph Township Department of Parks and Recreation is beginning the process of preparing a master plan to improve the parks and recreation system throughout the township.
A public workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the community center for residents to provide input regarding how they would like to improve our parks, recreation and leisure opportunities. Our consultant, Brandstetter Carroll Inc., will facilitate the workshop but the main discussion will come from the residents.
The format of the workshop will be very simple and will follow these four basic questions:
- What parks and recreation facilities and programs do you currently use?
- What do you like about Randolph parks?
- What issues or concerns do you have or what is missing from our parks and recreation system? How can the system be improved?
- Imagine it is the year 2025. You are very pleased with the improvements that have been made to our parks and recreation system since the master plan was completed. What has happened to make the parks more successful and enjoyable? How have the recreation and leisure opportunities changed?
The responses we receive to the foregoing questions will provide the framework and the priorities for the proposed improvements to the parks and recreation system.
