Phone Recycling Drive Extended Another Month
Posted: November 7, 2005
The Randolph Police Department, in conjunction with Verizon Wireless’ Hopeline Program, is continuing to collect old cell phones until November 30th. The phones will be refurbished and provided to domestic violence victims through Jersey Battered Women’s Services (JBWS) and its Operation Hopeline program.
All phones, regardless of manufacturer and service provider, will be accepted.
The department will have a collection box in its lobby for residents to drop off their old cellular phones. Phones should be placed in a 1-gallon plastic bag with charger. Accessories such as a headset or spare batteries that are no longer needed are also welcome and should be included in the bag.
