Photo Contest Winners Announced
Posted: December 5, 2005
Winners were recently chosen in the “Randolph Through Time” photo contest, sponsored by the Randolph Landmarks Committee. The photo contest was one in a series of events held throughout the year as part of the township’s 200th birthday celebration.
The contest, which was open to Randolph residents and those with a Randolph mailing address, called for photos taken during 2005 that corresponded with the “Randolph Through Time” theme.
Submissions were judged in three separate age categories: students to grade 8, students in grades 9 through 12, and adults. The judges, all of whom were Landmarks Committee members, were as follows: Fran DeLucia, Bob Freudenberger, Janet Lorey, Joan Brembs, Irini Barbounis, Marcia Rumsey and Charlie Whitehead.
A total of fifty-five entries was received and the process of selecting the winning photos in each category was no easy feat. According to judge Marcia Rumsey, “We had many tie votes and elimination rounds in order to come to our difficult decision.”
And the winners…
