Public Information Session to be Held
Posted: April 6, 2011
Representatives from the Department of Transportation have scheduled an informal public meeting regarding the Salem Street over Route 10 bridge replacement project.
The session will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at town hall, 502 Millbrook Avenue in Randolph. In addition to fielding questions from residents, maps and plans will be available for the public to view.
According to the DOT, the project consists of the replacement of the existing superstructure (deck and supporting beams) and will attempt to improve the clearance from 14'2" to a minimum of 14'6". The bridge was constructed in 1960 and at its last evaluation was considered structurally deficient and functionally obsolete. There are proposed detour routes associated with this project.
Questions about the meeting may be directed to Debbie Hirt at 609.530.2110.
