The Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC) was created to equip mayors and other key leaders throughout New Jersey with the tools to develop and implement active-living initiatives in their communities. The ultimate goal of the MWC is to improve health and the quality of life, while reducing the skyrocketing health care costs that are associated with obesity.
As visible community leaders, mayors are uniquely positioned to effect change in this area. Randolph Mayor Michael Obremski is proud to have taken a leadership role in the MWC by implementing the “Stroll, Roll or Run” campaign in Randolph for 2007.
