Parks & Recreation: Artworks Studio

Summer Camp

The Randolph Township Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and Artworks Studio staff are pleased to offer two different summer camp programs this year—one for elementary school-age students and one for teens.

Camp will be conducted Monday through Friday at the air-conditioned Artworks Studio located behind the municipal building on Millbrook Avenue. All classes will be taught by Artworks instructors Deb Sasaki, Leah Tomaino, Lori Quann and Laurel Clark.

2016 Summer Camp for Students

Week 1: “Frozen—It’s Not Just Disney, Silly”

July 11 - 15
9:00 a.m. to 12 noon OR 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Brrrr…Come in out of the sun for some frozen fun! Explore things that are frozen. We will be making animals and glowing landscapes with unexpected icy surprises!

Week 2: “Up-Cycle!”

July 18 - 22
9:00 a.m. to 12 noon
Don’t just recycle…Up-Cycle! Don’t toss it in the trash…we will have an art bash! Let’s be creative as we make art out of “found objects” while we help the environment!

Who:
Camp is open to students having completed kindergarten - 6th grade.
Groups will be formed based on grade level after registration.
Each of the two classes will be limited to fourteen students.
Participants are asked to bring a snack and a drink each day.

Fee: $175.00 per student per week.


On the Farm Camp

July 25 - 27
9:00 a.m. to 12 noon
Join Miss Kelly and Miss Karen as we paint, sculpt, sing silly songs and read all about life on the farm!

Who:
For ages 3-6
Campers are asked to bring a beverage and snack.
Spaces are limited.

Fee: $105.00 per camper.


2016 Summer Art Camp for Teens

Teen Art Camp

June 27 - July 1
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Students will spend an intensive week focusing on color theory, form, light, and composition while sharpening their drawing skills. The session will be filled with drawing exercises, problem solving, short term and long term projects along with a team project. The introduction of new materials and techniques such as linoleum block printing and paper making will ensure an exciting week.

Who:
Camp is open to teens who have completed grades 6 - 12.
Classes are limited to ten students per class.
Participants should bring a lunch each day.

Fee: $285.00 per teen.
