| Class: First Steps | ||
| Who: Students ages 2-1/2 to 5 | Fee: $150.00 | |
| Overall emphasis is placed on having fun while learning coordination, balance, rhythm and musical expression. Students will be exposed to multiple dance and music styles as well as basic tumbling. Creative movement also frequently incorporates the use of props such as ribbon streamers, balls, scarves, rhythm sticks, etc... Students in First Steps learn the important foundations of dance classroom etiquette so critical to future successes yet so difficult at this young age such as taking turns, finding and staying in place, listening skills and expression. First Steps students are often leaving their parents or care providers to participate in a classroom setting for the first time, and special care is taken to ensure this is done smoothly and positively. | ||

| Who: Students ages 3 to 6 | Fee: $150.00 | |
| This class is for the young performer who loves to sing and dance! This workshop guides students at their level of experience through the three facets of musical theater: acting, singing, and dance. In a relaxed, fun environment students will explore all three disciplines while rehearsing musical numbers from Broadway hits and favorites such as Grease, Cinderella, Annie and Peter Pan. Students engage in the fun, yet challenging process of learning through experience, which builds skills in listening, responding, creativity, problem-solving, risk taking, and group awareness. Each class consists of physical and vocal warm ups, improvisation, theatre games, and scene work. We explore the use of costumes and props, and dramatize stories from favorite books. Returning students will experience new songs, stories and musical numbers. | ||
