Youth Programs: Rising Stars
The Randolph Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with a parent-run committee, is working towards providing recreational opportunities for special needs students here in town. Our goal is to fill the gap which exists in current program offerings by creating fun events and activities designed to offer the “just right” challenge to our children while having a positive impact on self-esteem.
Randolph’s Rising Stars program is in its infancy. Our offerings to date have included a “Stars on Stage” program, a Hip Hop party and an Artworks Studio class. We are still in the process of developing activities so it’s important that all interested parents register for this program so that we may gauge demand and create a mailing list to keep everyone informed and involved.
To register for the Rising Stars mailing list, please go to our online registration site. Once you have signed in or created a new account, you’ll be taken to the welcome screen where you’ll see a drop-down list that asks you to select the activity you would like to register for. Select “Rising Stars” and click on the orange “Register Now” button. Follow the rest of the steps to complete the registration process (note there is no amount due when you register for this). Registered participants will receive e-mail updates regarding Rising Stars activities. If you have any questions, please contact at 973.989.7081.
Register at our online registration site or at the Parks and Recreation office in the Senior Community Center on Calais Road. If you call the office to register over the phone, please have your credit card ready. Note: After registering, a confidential questionnaire will be sent to all parents. This will enable our instructors to prepare fully for the enrolled students.
