Parks & Recreation: Programs

Youth Programs: Spring

Detailed program information, including meeting dates/times, registration dates and applicable fees, is available for programs currently enrolling participants through our online registration site. Information will also be publicized through the Randolph Quarterly, the 6-week calendars provided at the schools, and the Randolph Reporter. Farm League Baseball

The Farm League is designed to teach the fundamental skills of baseball with emphasis on skill development.

Who: Children who turn 7 by April 30
Registration: January
Girls’ Lacrosse

The department organizes competitive teams which compete in the New Jersey Junior Girls’ Lacrosse League.

Who: Grades 2 through 8
Registration: January
Girls’ Softball

In-town leagues as well as three travel teams will be formed for girls. Season runs April through June.

Who: Girls, up to age 14, broken down as follows:
Town Leagues: Grades K through 8
Travel: Ages 10 & younger, Ages 11 & 12, Ages 13 & 14
Registration: January
Senior Youth Baseball

Town-only Babe Ruth leagues will be formed for play from April through June. Travel teams will be formed for spring, summer, and fall play.

Who: Ages 13 through 15 (as of April 30)
Registration: January
Little League Baseball

Local leagues will be formed by age and skill level. All-Star teams will be formed through a selection process for play at the end of the regular season. Season runs April through June.

Who: Ages 8 through 12 (as of April 30)
Registration: January
T-Ball

For our youngest baseball players, this league does not include pitching or scorekeeping. Typically, one game is held during the week and one is held on Saturdays. Season runs April through June.

Who: Children in kindergarten or those who turn 6 by April 30
Registration: January
Dance Classes

Classes exploring Introduction to Dance, Ballet, Ballet and Tap, and Ballet and Jazz, are offered throughout the spring. Additional classes may be added subject to interest levels. Classes begin in April.

Who: Ages 2-1/2 to 6 (as of October 1)
Registration: April
Boys’ Lacrosse

The department organizes competitive teams which compete in the North Jersey Junior Lacrosse League.

Who: Grades 2 through 8
Registration: January
Tennis Lessons

Lessons include instruction on serving, forehand, backhand, volleying and match play. This program consists of four 1-hour lessons held on Saturdays at Brundage Park for girls and boys at beginner/intermediate levels of play. Lessons typically begin in late May or early June. Participants must have sneakers and a racquet.

Who: Ages 9 to 17
Registration: April
Track and Field

Teams are formed to compete in the Lakeland Junior Track and Field League. This league is not offered to high school students. Season runs from March through June.

Who: Ages 7 to 14
Registration: January

Various art classes for children through 18 years of age are offered throughout the year. Please see the Artworks Studio page for more information.
