Animal Issues
There are occasions when a resident may have a complaint or concern regarding an animal. This could include a barking dog, a daytime sighting of a raccoon, an injured animal in distress or a wandering bear.
If you have a situation with an animal similar to one of
the foregoing examples, you can call the Randolph Police
non-emergency number at 973.989.7010.
A dispatcher will take your information and at his/her discretion, will contact the township’s Animal Control Officer or ask a police officer to respond to the location. In either case, the responding personnel will assess the situation and take proper action. During working hours, your call may be forwarded directly to the Animal Control Officer, depending upon the nature of the call.
Please note that the Randolph Police and Animal Control Officer will NOT take action with a non-domestic animal such as a squirrel in your chimney or house. We will assist you as much as possible and refer you to a private contractor for assistance.
