Officer Keith DeCarolis met with a resident of Rippling Brook Way who reported that a second story window in his home had been shattered when it was struck by a water balloon.

Police were contacted about an erratic driver. The vehicle was located by Officer Keith DeCarolis who found the driver to be unlicensed and under the age to operate a motor vehicle. The juvenile was turned over to his mother.

Officer Keith DeCarolis stopped the accused on Center Grove Road for several moving violations. The accused was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was issued motor vehicle tickets for reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, and driving while intoxicated. He was released to his wife.

The accused was arrested by Officer Brett Sommer and charged with criminal restraint and harassment stemming from an incident that took place at 1147 Sussex Turnpike. Officer Sommer was assisted by Sgt. Carl LeMarble, and Officer Manlio Irula as well as Hopatcong and Denville police. The bail was set by Judge Cohen at $2,500.00 with a 10% option. The accused posted the bail and was released after being served with a temporary restraining order.

While working on a mobile inspection check point with the state Motor Vehicle Commission, Officer James Cacciabeve observed a fraudulent inspection decal on a car. The driver was questioned about the sticker and admitted it was fraudulent. The driver was charged with failure to inspect and possessing a fraudulent inspection sticker; both are motor vehicle violations.

During the course of the investigation, the accused was arrested for driving under the influence. Sgt. Giuliani was assisted by Officer Brian McGaughran and Officer Neil Caufield. The accused was charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence, failure to report a crash, and leaving the scene of a crash. He was released to a friend.
