Officers Michael Kavanaugh and Kurt Edelman responded to Spruce Tree Lane on a report of harassment between two neighbors.

Officer Jason Gould responded to Wilkeshire Boulevard on a criminal mischief complaint. The street sign was removed from the ground and left on a resident’s lawn. The vehicle involved in the incident is described as a dark-colored SUV.

The accused surrendered himself to Detective William Harzula at police HQ for an active warrant out of the Randolph Municipal Court. He posted the bail of $215.00 and was released.

Officer Jason Gould responded to a business on Franklin Rd. to speak with a business owner who caught an individual placing household items into the company dumpster.

- Charged: Samuel P. Ames, age 19 of Randolph NJ
Sgt. Christopher Giuliani observed the accused operating his vehicle in Brundage Park at 11:51 p.m., when the park is closed. While speaking to the accused, Sgt. Giuliani observed him to be evasive in his answers and his eyes to be bloodshot and watery. The accused admitted to having drug-related paraphernalia in his vehicle which he turned over to Sgt. Giuliani. The accused also had less than 50 grams of marijuana in his possession. Randolph PD was assisted by the Morris County Park Police during this arrest. Sgt. William Fichter responded to Randolph HQ to serve as a DRE. The accused was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug-related paraphernalia, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, careless driving, driving while under the influence, and being in a township park during hours of closure.

At 7:53 a.m., the owner of a home under construction on Quaker Church Road contacted police regarding damage to the house. Officers found that a fire had been set on the floor of the home and had burned through the floor. The Randolph Fire Prevention Bureau responded as did the Randolph Detective Bureau. Sgt. Arentowicz also had the Morris County Arson unit notified.

Officers Jason Gould and Melissa Bailey responded to a residence on Fernia Drive on a domestic dispute. Both parties provided their side of the altercation to the officers. Both were advised of their rights under the Domestic Violence Act.

Officer Brian McGaughran observed the accused operating his vehicle in an erratic manner. He was stopped in the area of 961 Route 10. As a result of his field sobriety tests, he was arrested. Sgt. Patrick McNichol of Mendham Borough PD assisted this agency as a Drug Recognition Expert during the processing of the accused. The accused was charged with failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving, and driving while under the influence.

Officers responded to Gateways Apartment complex on a report of two suspicious males looking into cars. Officers located two juveniles who fit the description provided. No arrests were made.

Officers James Cacciabeve and Steve Kepler responded to Dover Chrysler Dodge Jeep on South Salem Street on a report of wheels and tires stolen from several vehicles. Five vehicles had wheels and tires, valued at $5,500.00, removed from them between June 12th and June 16th.

Officer James Cacciabeve took a report from a bus driver regarding a vehicle passing a stopped school bus on Route 10. Officer Cacciabeve ascertained who the driver of the vehicle was and the bus driver was instructed of the process to sign a motor vehicle complaint.

Officer Manlio Irula took a complaint from a resident of Windsor Avenue regarding trespassers on her property. The complainant stated she felt the actors were possibly high school students. The complainant just wanted the issue documented.

Officer Kevin Clark stopped the accused for a motor vehicle violation. An active warrant for $89.00 out of the Roseland Municipal Court was located. The accused posted bail and was released.

Patrols located a brother and sister from New York who had become involved in an argument. Both parties were advised of their rights under the domestic violence laws and permitted to go on their way.

Officers Randy Maccione and Michael Gomez responded to Canfield Mews on a trespass complaint. The property managers advised that a group of youths had climbed over the locked fence around the complex pool and had gone into the pool. One juvenile was located by the officers.

The complainant advised the officers that the attendant had put unleaded gasoline into his vehicle which is a diesel. After discussing the issue with the owner, it was determined that the gas station would make good on the cost to repair the vehicle. No further police action.

Officer Shawn Boyhan took a complaint from a resident regarding an act of lewdness that took place on the trail system. The victim stated that a white male in his 40s or early 50s was lying on a bench with his pants down. She advised he did not expose himself as he was wearing black shorts and he did not speak to her. She observed him walk to a small red convertible with the characters “NB” on the license plate. This incident took place on the trail head at the intersection of Combs Hollow Road and Doby Road. Any similar incidents should be reported to the police immediately.

Officer Steve Zenes and Sgt. Jeffrey Gomez responded to the Pizza Hut on a report of a disorderly person. The accused was located and found to be intoxicated. A warrant was located for the accused out of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. Subsequent to his arrest, a small amount of marijuana was located in the accused’s pocket. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug related paraphernalia. Richardson was turned over to the Morris County Fugitive Unit.

The accused was arrested for possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, distribution of CDS, distribution of CDS within 500 feet of a public housing complex. A search warrant was executed at his residence in Victory Gardens. The investigation was conducted by members of the Randolph Police Patrol Division, the Randolph Police Detective Bureau, and with the assistance of the New Jersey State Police TEAMS unit. The accused was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.
