Charged: Arthur D. Arrington, 49 of Dover NJ: Sgt. Jeffrey Gomes stopped the accused for a motor vehicle violation. Active warrants were located for the accused out of Rockaway Township as well as Morris Plains and Bedminster. The accused was unable to post the bail and was turned over to Rockaway Township PD.

Incident #: 2008-032890: Officer Kevin Clark responded to a residence on Pinnacle Point on a 9-1-1 hang up. The residents advised the call was made accidentally but that a domestic dispute had taken place at the house. Both parties were advised of their domestic violence rights. No arrests were made.

Incident #: 2008-032731: Officer Corey Czerniak, Sgt. Jeff Gomez and Detectives John Fichter and William Harzula responded to the Staples store on a theft complaint. A laptop computer had been stolen by a male who ran from the store with the computer after the debit card he provided for the purchase was declined.

Charged: Michael D. Ruiz, 28 of Mt. Laurel NJ: Det. Sgt. David Stokoe took custody of the accused from Mt. Laurel PD after he was arrested on an outstanding Randolph warrant. The accused was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility.

Charged: Thomas M. Herold, 33 of Madison NJ: Officer Kevin Clark stopped the accused for a motor vehicle violation. An active warrant out of Parsippany was located for the accused. The accused posted the $500.00 bail and was released.

Incident #: 2008-032705: Officer James Cacciabeve took a complaint from a Sussex Turnpike business owner about dumping. A bag of residential trash was placed in the company dumpster.

Incident #: 2008-031682: Officer Brett Sommer took a report of criminal mischief and theft from a vending machine at The Clubhouse on Sussex Turnpike. The incident took place between 9:00 p.m. on 8/18 and 9:00 a.m. on 8/19/08.

Charged: Shayna M. Sanders, 26 of Denville NJ: The accused was arrested by Boonton Township PD on an outstanding Randolph warrant for $500.00. The accused was unable to post the bail and was taken into custody by Officer Corey Czerniak. She was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility.

Charged: Louisa Morales, 52 of Randolph NJ: Sgt. Jeff Gomez stopped the accused for a motor vehicle violation. An active warrant from Dover was located. The accused was released on her own recognizance by order of the Dover Municipal Court.

Incident #: 2008-032743: Officers Corey Czerniak, Randy Maccione, Sgt. Jeffrey Gomez and Detectives John Fichter and William Harzula responded to a private residence on Franklin Road on a report of a burglary. Several items including jewelry and credit cards were removed. The investigation revealed that there was no forced entry into the house.

Incident #: 2008-032643
Charged: Steven M. Wagner, 19 of Randolph NJ: Sgt. Jeffrey Gomez observed the accused make an improper turn onto Quaker Church Road from Center Grove Road. When Sgt. Gomez approached the driver, he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath. The driver denied having had any alcohol to drink. Officer Randy Maccione was the backup officer on the stop. A passenger in the car was observed placing an object behind the driver’s seat in the car. That object was a bottle of vodka which was collected by Sgt. Gomez. The accused was put through several balance tests and as a result, was placed under arrest. At headquarters, Officer Stephen Zenes conducted the breath tests on the accused. Wagner was issued motor vehicle tickets for reckless driving and driving under the influence as well as criminal complaints for underage possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle and DWI within 1,000 feet of a school. Wagner was released to a friend.

Charged: Male juvenile age 17, three female juveniles age 16, all of Randolph NJ: Officer Stephen Zenes observed a vehicle entering a business complex off Route 10 at 10:42 p.m. when none of the business are open. Officer Zenes located the vehicle at the rear of one of the commercial buildings near the loading dock. Officer Randy Maccione arrived as backup. An open container of an alcoholic beverage was observed in plain sight by Officer Zenes. All four parties in the car denied knowledge of the alcohol and all were arrested. The juveniles were released to their parents.

Incident #: 2008-032555: The owner of a township business reported to Officer James Cacciabeve that an unknown person operating a dark colored van had damaged his vehicle. Officer Cacciabeve followed up on one lead of a disgruntled former employee. No arrests have been made yet.

Charged: Wanda J. Cox, 45 of Dover NJ: Sgt. Christopher Giuliani stopped the accused for a motor vehicle violation. An active warrant out of Morris Township was located for the accused. She posted the $106.00 bail and was released.

Incident #: 2008-032206: Officer Kurt Edelman responded to the Gateways Apartments on a structure fire. The fire was contained to one apartment. The Randolph Fire Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office responded to the scene.

Incident #: 2008-jm031: Officers Keith DeCarolis, Frank Mygas, Jason Gould and Matthew Rispoli responded to a vacant apartment in Quaker Village on a trespassing complaint and located one juvenile and two adults inside the apartment without authorization. All three individuals were arrested. The juvenile was released to a responsible adult.

Charged: George R. Bass Jr., 43 of Morristown NJ: Officer Neil Caufield observed the accused operating his vehicle in an unsafe manner on South Salem Street. Officer Richard Biase assisted in the arrest as the breath test instrument operator. The accused was issued several motor vehicle tickets and released to a friend.

Incident #: 2008-032182: Officer Neil Caufield took a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle from a resident. The victim advised the officer that her car was struck by a water balloon while traveling on Radtke Road. The impact of the balloon damaged a headlight on the car.

Incident #: 2008-031759
Charged: Kenneth R. Codero, 33 of Denville NJ: Sgt. Jeffrey Gomez observed the accused’s vehicle traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Route 10 near the Roxbury border. The accused did not respond to the patrol car’s lights or siren as Sgt. Gomez attempted to stop him. Sgt. Gomez blocked the east bound traffic at Eyland Avenue to avoid a head-on collision with the accused’s vehicle. The accused finally came to a stop at the intersection of Route 10 and Eyland Avenue. Sgt. Gomez approached the accused’s vehicle and found the accused to have a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. The accused was put through field sobriety tests and as a result, was placed under arrest. Officer Randy Maccione assisted on the arrest as the breath test instrument operator. The accused was issued tickets for reckless driving, driving on the wrong side of the highway and driving while under the influence. The accused was transported to a friend’s house in Randolph.

The accused was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Officer Neil Caufield assisted in the arrest as the breath test instrument operator. The accused was given a ticket for driving while intoxicated and released to a friend.

The officers found the resident had passed away some time over the last several days. The Prosecutor’s Office and Medical Examiner were advised. The deceased was taken by the Medical Examiner.

Incident #: 2008-031134: Officers Richard Biase and Brian McGaughran responded to a residence on Quaker Avenue on a noise complaint. Once at the residence, the officers detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the garage. The resident of the home indicated that someone had smoked a marijuana cigarette earlier in the night. A consensual search of the garage was conducted with negative results.

Incident #: 2008-031079: Officers Jason Gould, Keith DeCarolis, Frank Mygas, Bruce Heesemann, Scott Bailey, and Sgt. Scott Arentowicz responded to a “be on the look out for” message for a vehicle involved in a shooting in Dover. Officer Gould observed the vehicle on Franklin Road and followed the car to a residence on Coolidge Avenue in Victory Gardens. A perimeter was established around the house on Coolidge. One of the subjects whom Officer Gould had observed in the vehicle was observed walking on South Salem Street and taken into custody by Sgt. Scott Arentowicz. The scene was held until the arrival of the New Jersey State Police.

Incident #: 2008-030875: Officers Shawn Boyhan and Matt Irula responded to a private residence in the 1400 block of Sussex Turnpike for a domestic dispute. The parties involved were advised of their domestic violence rights. Due to the presence of a minor child during the argument, DYFS was advised of the incident.

After conducting an investigation, Officer Clark was able to identify the person who had made the calls from 3 different phone numbers. The victims were advised of the identity of the accused and they will consider signing criminal complaints.

She received motor vehicle tickets for driving while suspended, operating an unregistered vehicle, and uninsured motorist. An active warrant for the accused was located out of Rockaway Township. The accused was unable to post the $1,200.00 bail and was turned over to Rockaway Township Police.

Incident #: 2008-030707: A 19-year-old Madison resident reported to Officer Kevin Clark that he had been assaulted by three males while attending a party at a private residence in Randolph. The victim received lacerations to his head which required medical intervention.

Charged: Albert Futernik, 37 of Randolph NJ: Officer Brett Sommer met with the accused at headquarters. The accused indicated that during a verbal altercation with his wife, he had struck her in the face and had come to headquarters to turn himself in. The accused’s wife was contacted and she responded to HQ for the investigation. The accused was charged with assault.

Incident #: 2008-jm027: Officer Keith DeCarolis stopped a car for careless driving and found the operator to be 16 years old and unlicensed. The vehicle belonged to the juvenile’s parents who were unaware the child was operating the car. The juvenile was arrested and charged with the unlawful taking of a means of conveyance as well as motor vehicle violations for being an unlicensed operator, careless driving, operating a vehicle that was unregistered and uninsured. The juvenile’s parents took custody of the child at HQ.
