For Residents: Recycling & Garbage

Collection Routes

Curbside collection of both trash and recyclables is provided to all town streets with the exception of garden apartment complexes. Garbage is collected once each week; recyclables are collected once every two weeks. Collection routes and schedules vary depending upon your neighborhood.

Important Notes Regarding Snow & Holidays


Snow

If curbside pickup services are cancelled due to snow, makeup days are as follows:

  • Garbage: the next business day
    Cancellation is determined by road conditions, extreme weather, etc.
  • Recycling: the next business day, weather permitting
    Cancellation occurs when the Randolph Township schools are closed.

If snow conditions pre-empt two or more consecutive collection days, call 973.989.7050 for the revised route schedule.

Holidays

  • Garbage: the next business day after the holiday
    (Holidays which will alter your garbage collection day if they fall on a weekday: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.)
  • Recycling: if your regular collection day falls on one of the days listed below, please note alternate pick-up date
