The commission also has the power to study and make recommendations concerning open space preservation, water resources management, air pollution control, solid waste management, noise control, soil and landscaping protection, environmental appearance, marine resources and protection of flora and fauna and to assist the township with respect to applications and related matters before other governmental and private entities with respect to such matters.
The commission consists of seven regular members and two alternates, appointed by the Township Council. One of the seven regular members is a member of the township’s Planning Board.
