Official Announcement: Water Quality Update for Randolph Park Beach
To the Residents of Randolph,
In compliance with the NJ State Sanitary Code for Public Recreation Bathing, our Health Department conducts regular water quality tests at Randolph Park Beach. Following our latest testing, we have encountered elevated levels that necessitate temporary closure of the beach.
We continuously monitor several factors that can affect water quality, such as water temperature, animal presence, wind conditions, and precipitation levels. This past week's significant rainfall has contributed to the current conditions.
Given these results and out of an abundance of caution, Randolph Park Beach will be closed on Saturday, August 10th. We have conducted a subsequent test and expect results within the next 24-30 hours. Rest assured, we will provide an update on the beach's status as soon as these results are available.
We understand that many of you were looking forward to visiting the beach this weekend, and we appreciate your understanding as we prioritize your health and safety. Should you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Randolph Health Department at 973-989-7050 or 973-989-7049.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
