[ARCHIVED] After the rain, dump and drain!

Common Backyard Mosquito Sources Flyer 2023

The Morris County Mosquito Control inspectors are checking sites and working to control mosquitoes.  Do your part...after the rain, dump and drain!

Check containers around the home for any water that may have collected from recent rains.  Mosquitoes lay their eggs in standing water and it is important to eliminate their habitat. Flower pots and saucers, pet food bowls, buckets, tarps, downspouts, and tires are all great places for mosquitoes to lay their eggs.

Dump and drain standing water often for the best result.

Mosquitoes also lay their eggs in floodplains and wetland areas; we have had a very wet summer which is contributing to high mosquito populations.

The Morris County Mosquito Control inspectors are out checking sites and answering service requests.  For more information about Morris County Mosquito Control services please visit:  www.morrismosquito.org
