Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters (ANCHOR) Property Tax Relief Program; current filing is for 2020.
This program provides property tax relief to NJ residents who owned or rented their principal residence (main home) on October 1, 2020, and meet certain income limits. If you received a 2019 ANCHOR benefit, in August 2023 you will receive an “ANCHOR Benefit Confirmation Letter” for your 2020 ANCHOR application, notifying you that you meet the 2020 ANCHOR requirements. If any information on the ANCHOR confirmation letter changed, you must file your ANCHOR application to update these changes before September 30, 2023.
If you do not receive an ANCHOR Benefit Confirmation Letter, you have until Friday, December 29, 2023, to file the 2020 ANCHOR application.
