[ARCHIVED] Morris County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan - Citizen Survey

Morris County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan Update - Citizen Survey

Morris County Hazard Mitigation Survey QR Code The Morris County Office of Emergency Management is currently in the process of updating the 2020 Multi-Jurisdictional Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan and is seeking public input to better understand the hazard-related concerns of Morris County residents.

The goal of the update is to ensure that all Morris County municipalities remain eligible to receive certain types of federal mitigation funding to reduce hazard risk. The plan identifies natural hazards and vulnerabilities, assesses risks, and identifies mitigation initiatives to reduce or eliminate future losses that may result from those hazards.

Public participation and feedback are critical components of the hazard mitigation planning process; therefore, the Office of Emergency Management has released a brief survey to provide an opportunity for the public to share their input. The information provided will remain anonymous and will assist the Office of Emergency Management to better understand public hazard concerns within the county, and develop mitigation activities that may reduce the risk of injury or property damage in the future.

The survey is estimated to take less than 10 minutes to complete and can be accessed by scanning the QR Code provided or visiting https://forms.office.com/r/F5a2LHLNUi. Responses must be submitted by October 13, 2023.
