Chief Michael Vanadia was born and raised in Randolph and started as a junior firefighter with the Randolph Fire Department - Ironia Company Number 4. During his twenty-three years in the fire service, he has risen through the ranks, having served as battalion chief of Station 4 from 2013 to 2016 and has currently served in the fire department chief's office since 2017. Michael is a Penn State graduate with a degree in civil engineering. He is a certified fire officer as well as a fire instructor level II. He has previous experience as a construction project manager and currently works as a career firefighter/EMT in the Township of Springfield. He is also a part-time fire instructor at the Morris County Public Safety and Training Academy.
