An ordinance of the Township of Randolph providing for various 2010 capital improvements appropriating $1,704,800, therefore, including $1,176,800, from the Capital Improvement Fund, $225,000 from the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, $20,000 from the Recycling Tonnage Grant, $99,000 from the Reserve in Lieu of Sewers, $98,500 from the Dedicated Open Space/Recreation Trust Fund and $85,500 from Capital Surplus
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris and State of New Jersey as follows:
SECTION 1. The funding for the various 2010 Capital Improvements are hereby authorized not to exceed $1,704,000 for the following purpose:

(7) Park Improvements: Various Improvements to Freedom Park, Brundage Park, Randolph Park and Heistein Park | $98,500 |

SECTION 2. A total sum of $1,704,800 is authorized to complete the improvements including $1,176,800 from the Capital Improvement Fund, $225,000 from the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, $20,000 from the Recycling Tonnage Grant, $99,000 from the Reserve In Lieu of Sewers, $98,500 from the Dedicated Open Space/Recreation Trust Fund and $85,500 from Capital Surplus.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon final adoption and publication in accordance with applicable statutes.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RANDOLPH PROVIDING FOR VARIOUS 2010 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS APPROPRIATING $1,704,800, THEREFORE, INCLUDING $1,176,800, FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND , $225,000 FROM THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, $20,000 FROM THE RECYCLING TONNAGE GRANT , $99,000 FROM THE RESERVE IN LIEU OF SEWERS, $98,500 FROM THE DEDICATED OPEN SPACE/RECREATION TRUST FUND AND $85,500 FROM CAPITAL SURPLUS” was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on June 3, 2010 and was introduced, read by title and passed on first reading. The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the Ordinance for second reading and final passage thereof at their regular meeting to be held on July 1, 2010 at 8 p.m. prevailing time, at the Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey 07869, at which time and place a public hearing will be heard thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.
Statement of Purpose of Ordinance
The purpose of the above Ordinance is to provide for the replacement of Mobile Data Terminals for the Police Department, for South Road Reconstruction, for the purchase of DPW equipment, for the purchase of Parks Department equipment, Mt. Freedom/Sussex Turnpike sewer improvements, Stormwater Outfall repairs, Park improvements (Freedom Park, Brundage Park, Randolph Park and Heistein Park), backup equipment for Sewer Pump Station, and infiltration and inflow study for sanitary sewer.
A copy of the full Ordinance is available to any member of the general public, without cost, at the Township of Randolph, Municipal Building, Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey, at the Office of the Township Clerk, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
