An ordinance of the Township of Randolph providing for various 2009 capital improvements appropriating $1,222,000, therefore, including $635,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund, $410,000 from the State of New Jersey Dept. of Transportation, $25,000 from the Recycling Tonnage Grant, 80,000 from the County of Morris - Community Development Block Grant, $50,000 from the Dedicated Recreation Trust Fund and $22,000 from Capital Surplus
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris and State of New Jersey as follows:
SECTION 1. The funding for the various 2009 Capital Improvements are hereby authorized not to exceed $1,222,000 for the following purpose:

(4) Purchase of Parks Department Equipment: Replacement of Pick-up Truck (Vehicle #755) | $30,000 |
(5) Fire Department—Upgrade Personal Interior Turnout Gear | $60,000 |
(6) Wright/Tucker Property—Demolition and Remediation | $60,000 |
(7) Park Improvements—Various Improvements to Freedom Park, Brundage Park, Randolph Park and Heistein Park | $110,000 |
(8) Morris Turnpike Milling and Resurfacing | $190,000 |
(9) Center Grove Road Sidewalk Rehabilitation—Phase 2 | $102,000 |
TOTAL | $1,222,000 |
SECTION 2. A total sum of $1,222,000 is authorized to complete the improvements including $635,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund, $410,000 from the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation, $25,000 from the Recycling Tonnage Grant $80,000 from the County of Morris - Community Development Block Grant, $50,000 from the Dedicated Recreation Trust Fund and $22,000 from Capital Surplus.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon final adoption and publication in accordance with applicable statutes.

Notice is hereby given that a Bond Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RANDOLPH PROVIDING FOR VARIOUS 2009 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS APPROPRIATING $1,222,000, THEREFORE, INCLUDING $635,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND, $410,000 FROM THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, $25,000 FROM THE RECYCLING TONNAGE GRANT , 80,000 FROM THE COUNTY OF MORRIS - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT, $50,000 FROM THE DEDICATED RECREATION TRUST FUND AND $22,000 FROM CAPITAL SURPLUS,” was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on May 7, 2009 and was introduced, read by title and passed on first reading. A Statement of Purpose of the Ordinance is contained below.
The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the Bond Ordinance for second reading and final passage thereof at their regular meeting to be held on June 4, 2009 at 8 p.m. prevailing time, at the Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey 07869, at which time and place a public hearing will be heard thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.
Statement of Purpose of Ordinance
The purpose of the above Bond Ordinance is to provide funding for the various 2009 Capital Improvements authorized not to exceed $1,222,000.
A copy of the full Ordinance is available to any member of the general public, without cost, at the Township of Randolph, Municipal Building, Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey, at the Office of the Township Clerk, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
