An ordinance to provide and determine the range of compensation for specified officers and employees in the Township of Randolph
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A 9-165 permits a municipality to establish salaries, wages, or compensation to be paid to the officers and employees of the municipality; and
WHEREAS, the Township Council and Township Manager have made a careful examination of the salaries, wages, and compensation appropriate to compensation of said employees; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, they being the Governing Body thereof, as follows:
Section 1. Legislative, Judiciary, and Executive
The below stated titles and compensation shall be effective January 1, 2012:

Section 2. Department Heads and Exempt Personnel
The Manager shall be authorized to employ personnel and to set salaries which do not exceed the below stated maximums for the year 2012.

Section 3. All ordinances of the Township of Randolph which are inconsistent with the provisions of the ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of each inconsistency.
Section 4. If any chapter, article, division, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or provision of the ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect all remaining portions of this ordinance.
Section 5. The ordinance shall take effect twenty (20) days after final passage, approval, and publication after adoption by the Township Council and shall be retroactive to January 1, 2012.

ORDINANCE NO. 14-12
Notice is hereby given that an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE AND DETERMINE THE RANGE OF COMPENSATION FOR SPECIFIED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE TOWNSHIP OF RANDOLPH”, was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on June 7, 2012, and was introduced, read by title and passed on first reading. A Statement of Purpose of the Ordinance is contained below.
The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the ordinance for second reading and final passage thereof at their regular meeting to be held on June 28, 2012, at 7 p.m. prevailing time, at the Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey 07869, at which time and place a public hearing will be heard thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.
Statement of Purpose of Ordinance
The purpose of the above ordinance is to establish salaries, wages or compensation to be paid to the specified officers and employees of the municipality.
A copy of the full Ordinance is available to any member of the general public, without cost, at the Township of Randolph, Municipal Building, Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey, at the Office of the Township Clerk, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
