An Ordinance of the Township of Randolph Amending Capital Ordinance No. 08-17

WHEREAS, Capital Ordinance 08-17 was introduced on April 27, 2017 and adopted on May 18, 2017; and

WHEREAS, this ordinance includes, among other authorizations, an authorization to purchase Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment for the volunteer fire department; and

WHEREAS, the volunteer fire department requests that the purpose of this aforementioned authorization be amended to add purchasing thermo-imaging equipment to the purpose of purchasing SCBA equipment; and

WHEREAS, there will be no change to the amount originally authorized ($60,000).

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris and State of New Jersey that Ordinance No. 08-17 be amended to add purchasing thermal imaging equipment to the original purpose of purchasing SCBA equipment; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this ordinance shall take effect upon final adoption and publication in accordance with applicable statutes.

ORDINANCE NO. 15-18

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an Ordinance entitled, “AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RANDOLPH AMENDING CAPITAL ORDINANCE NO. 08-17” was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on June 12, 2018, and was introduced, read by title and passed on first reading. A Statement of Purpose of the Ordinance is contained below. The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the Ordinance for second reading and final passage thereof at their regular meeting to be held on June 28, 2018 at 7 p.m. prevailing time, at the Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey 07869, at which time and place a public hearing will be heard thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.

Statement of Purpose of Ordinance

The purpose of the said Ordinance is to amend Ordinance No. 08-17 to add purchasing of thermo-imaging equipment and for the purpose of purchasing SCBA equipment. A copy of the full Ordinance is available to any member of the general public, at no cost, at the Randolph Township Municipal Building, Office of the Clerk, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
