An Ordinance of the Township of Randolph Amending Capital Ordinances No. 17-14, No. 13-16 and No. 06-18

WHEREAS, Capital Ordinance No. 17-14 was introduced on May 1, 2014 and adopted on May 22, 2014; and

WHEREAS, this ordinance includes, among other authorizations, an authorization to purchase various equipment for the volunteer rescue squad; and

WHEREAS, Capital Ordinance No. 13-16 was introduced on April 21, 2016 and adopted on May 5, 2016; and

WHEREAS, this ordinance includes, among other authorizations, an authorization to purchase ice/water response equipment for the volunteer rescue squad; and

WHEREAS, Capital Ordinance No. 06-18 was introduced on April 19, 2018 and adopted on May 3, 2018; and

WHEREAS, this ordinance includes, among other authorizations, an authorization to purchase portable radios for the volunteer rescue squad; and

WHEREAS, the rescue squad requests that the purposes of these aforementioned authorizations be amended to add purchasing lighting and other equipment for its ambulances; and

WHEREAS, there will be no changes to the amounts originally authorized ($33,000 for No.17-14, $10,000 for No. 13-16 and $12,000 for No. 06-18):

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris and State of New Jersey that Ordinances No. 17-14, No. 13-16 and No. 06-18 be amended to add purchasing lighting and other equipment for rescue squad ambulances to their original purposes; and

BE IT FURTHUR RESOLVED, that this ordinance shall take effect upon final adoption and publication in accordance with applicable statutes.

ORDINANCE NO. 16-21

Notice is hereby given that an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance of the Township of Randolph Amending Capital Ordinances No. 17-14, No. 13-16 and No. 06-18”, was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on April 22, 2021, and was introduced, read by title, and passed on first reading. A Statement of Purpose of the Ordinance is contained below. The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the Ordinance for second reading and final passage thereof at their regular meeting to be held on May 6, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. prevailing time, at the Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey 07869, at which time and place a public hearing will be heard thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.

Statement of Purpose of Ordinance

The purpose of the above Ordinance is to amend Capital Ordinances No. 17-14, No. 13-16 and No. 06-18 to add the purchasing of lighting and other equipment for the rescue squad ambulances A copy of the full Ordinance is available to any member of the general public, without cost, at the Township of Randolph, Municipal Building, Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey, at the Office of the Township Clerk, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
