Ordinance amending Section 3(a) of Bond Ordinance no. 13-12 finally adopted on June 7, 2012 and Section 3(a) of Bond Ordinance no. 12-13 finally adopted on June 6, 2013 in order to revise the descriptions referred to therein in and by the Township of Randolph


BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RANDOLPH (not less than two-thirds of all members thereof affirmatively concurring) AS FOLLOWS:

Section One. Section 3(a) of Bond Ordinance No. 13-12 finally adopted on June 7, 2012 of the Township of Randolph, a municipal corporation of the State of New Jersey (the “Township”) is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 3. The several improvements hereby authorized and the several purposes for which the bonds are to be issued, the estimated cost of each improvement and the appropriation therefor, the estimated maximum amount of bonds or notes to be issued for each improvement and the period of usefulness of each improvement are as follows:

(a) Providing for purchase of Department of Public Works equipment, including replacement of a dump truck, replacement of a backhoe, body refurbishment, paving box, a hot box and related equipment, de-icing system, snow maintenance equipment and side dump bucket for existing wheel loader.

Section Two. Section 3(a) of Bond Ordinance No. 12-13 finally adopted on June 6, 2013 of the Township of Randolph, a municipal corporation of the State of New Jersey (the “Township”) is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 3. The several improvements hereby authorized and the several purposes for which the bonds are to be issued, the estimated cost of each improvement and the appropriation therefor, the estimated maximum amount of bonds or notes to be issued for each improvement and the period of usefulness of each improvement are as follows:

(a) Providing for the purchase of Department of Public Works equipment, including replacement of pick-up trucks, cab/chassis (vehicle #918), replace flail mower, body refurbishments (vehicle #923 and #954), a hot box and related equipment, 20 ton trailer and outfitting (vehicle #916 and #923) with winter wizard anti-icing system.

Section Three. The capital budget of the Township is hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this amending bond ordinance to the extent of any inconsistency herewith.

Section Four. This amending bond ordinance shall take effect 20 days after the first publication thereof after final adoption, as provided by the Local Bond Law.

Notice is hereby given that an Ordinance entitled “ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3(a) OF BOND ORDINANCE NO. 13-12 FINALLY ADOPTED ON JUNE 7, 2012 AND SECTION 3(a) OF BOND ORDINANCE NO. 12-13 FINALLY ADOPTED ON JUNE 6, 2013 IN ORDER TO REVISE THE DESCRIPTIONS REFERRED TO THEREIN IN AND BY THE TOWNSHIP OF RANDOLPH”

was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on July 9, 2015 and was introduced, read by title and passed on first reading. A Statement of Purpose of the Ordinance is contained below. The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the Ordinance for second reading and final passage thereof at their regular meeting to be held on July 30, 2015 at 7 p.m. prevailing time, at the Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey 07869, at which time and place a public hearing will be heard thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.

Statement of Purpose of Ordinance

The purpose of the above Ordinance is to amend existing Bond Ordinances which will allow the Township to purchase a Hot Box for the Department of Public Works.
