An ordinance amending Ordinance 13-09 entitled “An ordinance of the Township of Randolph providing for various 2009 capital improvements and providing a supplemental appropriation of $4,200 from the Capital Improvement Fund for the Morris Turnpike Milling And Resurfacing Project”


BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris and State of New Jersey as follows:

SECTION 1. The projects described in Section One of this ordinance has heretofore been authorized by the Township of Randolph, New Jersey as a general improvement. For the improvement or purpose described in Section One hereof, there is hereby appropriated the supplemental amount of $4,200 from the Capital Improvement Fund for the Morris Turnpike Milling and Resurfacing Project and such sum being in addition to the $1,222,000 appropriated therefor by Ordinance Numbered 13-09 finally adopted June 4, 2009.

(2) Carrell Road Reconstruction $335,000
(3) Purchase of Department of Public Works Equipment:
Mid Size Dump Truck, Single Axle Packer Truck, Cab/Chassis for V-Box (1984 Model Replacement), the refurbish of Tenco Body (Vehicle #922) and a Crack Sealer/Applicator.

(4) Purchase of Parks Department Equipment:
Replacement of Pick-up Truck (Vehicle #755)

(5) Fire Department—Upgrade Personal Interior Turnout Gear $60,000

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon final adoption and publication in accordance with applicable statutes.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 13-09 ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF RANDOLPH PROVIDING FOR VARIOUS 2009 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND PROVIDING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF $4,200 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE MORRIS TURNPIKE MILLING AND RESURFACING PROJECT” was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on July 1, 2010 and was introduced, read by title and passed on first reading. The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the Ordinance for second reading and final passage thereof at their regular meeting to be held on August 5, 2010 at 8 p.m. prevailing time, at the Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey 07869, at which time and place a public hearing will be heard thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.

Statement of Purpose of Ordinance

The purpose of the above Ordinance is to provide for the replacement of Mobile Data Terminals for the Police Department, for Carrell Road Reconstruction, for the purchase of DPW equipment, for the purchase of Parks Department equipment, Fire Department gear upgrade, demolition and remediation of Wright/Tucker Project, various improvements to Freedom Park, Brundage Park, Randolph Park and Heistein Park, Morris Turnpike milling and resurfacing and Center Grove Road Sidewalk Rehabiliation (Phase 2).

A copy of the full Ordinance is available to any member of the general public, without cost, at the Township of Randolph, Municipal Building, Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey, at the Office of the Township Clerk, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
