An ordinance amending Appendix A, Fee Schedule, of the Revised Ordinances of the Township of Randolph, Morris County, New Jersey
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:48-1, the governing body of a municipality may make, amend, repeal, and enforce ordinances to manage regulate and control the finances and property of the municipality; and
WHEREAS, the Township of Randolph desires to amend the Sections of Appendix A of the Revised Ordinances of the Township of Randolph, Morris County, New Jersey governing the Water Rate Schedule and Administrative Fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Governing Body of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, as follows:
SECTION ONE. The User Charges Subsection of the Water Rate Schedule Section of Appendix A, Fee Schedule, of Revised Ordinances of the Township of Randolph, Morris County, New Jersey is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following:

| (1) User charges: Quarterly water service rate-residential/commercial/professional/industrial and schools effective August 4, 2011: | |
| Base rate | $20.00 |
| 0 - 25,000 gallons consumption | $3.75 per 1000 gallons |
| 25,001 - 50,000 gallons consumption | $6.60 per 1000 gallons |
| 50,001 gallons and up | $10.60 per 1000 gallons |
| Example: A residential water user who consumes 26,000 gallons of water in a quarter pays a base rate of $20.00 plus $3.75 per 1,000 gallons for the first 25,000 gallons consumed, $6.60 per 1,000 gallons for consumption between 25,001 to 50,000 gallons, for a total quarterly charge of $120.35. | |
SECTION TWO. The Section of Appendix A, Fee Schedule, of Revised Ordinances of the Township of Randolph, Morris County, New Jersey governing Administrative Fees is hereby amended by the addition of the following:
Bid Specifications $20.00
SECTION THREE. All Ordinances of the Township of Randolph which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed as to the extent of such inconsistency.
SECTION FOUR. If any section, subsection, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTION FIVE. This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.

ORDINANCE NO. 18-11
Notice is hereby given that an Ordinance entitled “An Ordinance Amending Appendix A, Fee Schedule, of the Revised Ordinances of the Township of Randolph, Morris County, New Jersey” was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on July 7, 2011 and was introduced, read by title and passed on first reading. A Statement of Purpose of the Ordinance is contained below. The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the Ordinance for second reading and final passage thereof at their regular meeting to be held on August 4, 2011 at 8 p.m. prevailing time, at the Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey 07869, at which time and place a public hearing will be heard thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.
Statement of Purpose of Ordinance
The purpose of the above Ordinance is to amend the Sections of Appendix A of the Revised Ordinances of the Township of Randolph, Morris County, New Jersey governing the Water Rate Schedule and Administrative Fees.
A copy of the full Ordinance is available to any member of the general public, without cost, at the Township of Randolph, Municipal Building, Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey, at the Office of the Township Clerk, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
