An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9-13 entitled “An ordinance to provide and determine the range of compensation for specified officers and employees in the Township of Randolph”


WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 9-13 was adopted on June 6, 2013; and

WHEREAS, said Ordinance anticipated the retirement of the Construction Official resulting in a Shared Services Agreement with Roxbury Township to provide Construction Official services to Randolph and a general reorganization of Construction Code Division; and

WHEREAS, said retirement has been postponed requiring an amendment to Ordinance No. 9-13.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, they being the Governing Body thereof, that Ordinance No. 9-13 shall be amended as follows:

SECTION 1: Section 3, Supervisory Employees RTMSEA - delete:

“*Title to be eliminated December 31, 2013” as it pertains to the Construction Official.

SECTION 2: Section 4, Municipal Employees and Clerical Employees RTEA - delete:

“*Title to be eliminated December 31, 2013” as it pertains to the P/T Zoning Officer.

SECTION 3: All ordinances of the Township of Randolph which are inconsistent with the provisions of the Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of each inconsistency.

SECTION 4: If any chapter, article, division, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or provision of the Ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect all remaining portions of this Ordinance.

SECTION 5: The Ordinance shall take effect twenty (20) days after final passage, approval, and publication after adoption by the Township Council.

ORDINANCE NO. 24-13

Notice is hereby given that an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 9-13 ENTITLED ‘AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE AND DETERMINE THE RANGE OF COMPENSATION FOR SPECIFIED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE TOWNSHIP OF RANDOLPH’” was submitted in writing at a regular meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Randolph, County of Morris, State of New Jersey, held on October 3, 2013, and was introduced, read by title, and passed on first reading. The Governing Body of the Township of Randolph will further consider the Ordinance for second reading and final passage thereof at the regular meeting to be held on November 7, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. prevailing time at the Municipal Building in said Township located at 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey, at which time and place a public hearing thereon by the Governing Body and all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard concerning said Ordinance.

Statement of Purpose of Ordinance

The purpose of the said Ordinance is to establish and set forth the salaries for the Township employees listed herein that will be in effect starting January 1, 2014. A copy of the full Ordinance is available to any member of the general public, at no cost, at the Randolph Township Municipal Building, Office of the Clerk, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
