As of today: 68,824 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in NJ; 3,424 cases in Morris County; 14 new cases in Randolph, bringing total to date to 174.
Of the 174 cases: 24 households have more than one individual; 15 individuals are currently hospitalized; 37 individuals have had symptoms resolve and can return to normal activities.
It is with great sadness that we must report 3 new fatalities, bringing the total to 10. Our thoughts continue to be with all of the families in our community who have lost loved ones. The families have requested that no further information be released.
Included in the numbers above: 17 of the cases and 6 of the fatalities are associated with long-term care facilities; 9 of the 15 individuals currently hospitalized are residents of these facilities.
All individuals considered to be close contacts of the confirmed cases are contacted and asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.
All township initiated closings and restrictions, not previously superseded by executive orders of Governor Murphy, have been extended until May 1 and will be reassessed again at that time.
