Four Confirmed Cases in the Township

Dear Randolph Township Residents,

Randolph Township has received notification this evening of four confirmed COVID-19 cases involving Randolph Township residents.

The residents range in age between 28 and 71, and one of the individuals is hospitalized. To protect the private medical information of these individuals, Randolph Township will not be releasing additional information about these cases. The Randolph Township Health Department is conducting contact tracing pursuant to the Centers for Disease Control and New Jersey Department of Health guidelines.

To date, 7 cases of COVID-19 are confirmed in Morris County, 267 cases of COVID-19 are confirmed in New Jersey and 1,678 cases have been identified in the United States.

We wish the individuals with confirmed cases of the virus well and their families the best in this difficult time. We also remind the community to remain vigilant in following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of New Jersey and our public health officials when it comes to social distancing, hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes and disinfecting common areas.

Mayor Carey emphasizes, “This is a difficult time for all of us. The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting our daily lives in ways we couldn’t imagine even a week ago. I ask all residents to follow the directives and guidelines that have been issued regarding social distancing and prevention practices.”
