Big Change to Curbside Collection of Recycling as of January 2017
Posted: December 16, 2016
Beginning January 2017, the curbside collection of both garbage and recyclables will take place on the same day of the week, except recycling will be picked up on the 2nd and 4th week of the month. Residents will now place their recycling alongside their garbage twice per month.
There are four collection routes in the township and each route has a specific day of the week when garbage and recycling are collected. Garbage is collected every week; recycling is collected twice per month, during the 2nd and 4th week of each month. Therefore, twice per month, on the 2nd and 4th week, residents will be placing their recycling alongside their garbage. A resident must know their route number in order to ascertain what day of the week these collections will occur.
As a result, the route number and recycling collection day will change for many residents as of January 2017. We urge all residents to check to determine their new route number and collection day.
