Highlands Regional Master Plan (RMP) Monitoring Program
Posted: January 20, 2016
The Highlands Council has scheduled three public outreach sessions to provide the public with an update on the Highlands Regional Master Plan (RMP) Monitoring Program and to present draft indicators.
The RMP Monitoring Program addresses the periodic RMP update required by the Highlands Act. The program evaluates progress toward achieving the goals of the RMP through implementation of policies and programs. The monitoring program is not intended to amend the RMP, but rather, develop the factual foundation on which potential amendments to the RMP may be made.
These facilitated large-format sessions are NOT public hearings, but rather, informational sessions where members of the public will have an opportunity to learn more about this process. A brief overview presentation will be given at 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in each session, with the remaining time available for attendees to review materials that will be available around the room and ask follow-up questions.
