Randolph Historical Society Seeking Volunteers
Posted: April 29, 2022
Unfortunately, during the pandemic, the Randolph Museum had to close its doors and lost some of its members. At this time, the Historical Society of Old Randolph (HSOR) encourages the community to help support this wonderful landmark in Randolph Township!
The following volunteer opportunities are available:
- A volunteer to assist with museum news and event updates on Facebook and Instagram.
- Gardeners: the side gardens by the chestnut tree near the little benches, and the area by the entrance of the museum within the picket fence known as Catherine’s Garden need tending. Catherine’s Garden contains mint and bee balm. The gardens should include indigenous New Jersey state plantings (i.e., black-eyed susans, trumpet creeper, butterfly weed, cone flower, etc.).
- Docents to open the museum and provide tours from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. once a month on the second Sunday of every month from June through October 2022 (should plan to arrive at 12:30 p.m. to open); written scripts will be provided for the tours.
